It was a great discovery, as chunks of prawns could be found within the hargaow. The skin was slightly thicker but yet it was chewy enough to go well with the filings.
Siew Mai was good too, solid, little fats and had the fish roe on top to decorate a little. It shows that chef actually puts in effort in this tiny Siewmai. And what's best? This is halal. Chicken siewmai.
Xiao long bao is my constant fear and ex love. Luckily friends' feedback about xlb here is not fantastic if not I would have felt the pain. Skin was too think, some were served with torn skin (meaning no "soup" / "juice" or "wadever that is") so dry XLB.
my all time favourite.Fried Prawn dumplings is love! Crispy skin, Fillings going to explode out of the skin. The fillings are fragrant and seafoody taste yet its not too salty like those frozen ones we buy from the shelves. Dipped with mayo, and it reminds me of wad i superbly love.
Fried Kwey teow on the other hand is SO SO. Perhaps we were full by then, but i felt it was rather oily and would prefer the malay style. No pork no lard? its hard to suit the tastebuds of the unhealthy chinese.
Auntie note: Ordered the rojak too but din have a picture of it. The servings were super huge 3 person had a hard time finishing it. Value for money!
